Financial Advisor (High Street Branch) Envision Financial, a division of First West Credit Union Job Description The Financial Advisor provides exceptional customer service to current and potential members by offering a full range of deposit, investment, and complex lending services. They identify member life‑stage cycles, provide solutions to financial needs, and refer members to appropriate advisors. They manage a portfolio of members. Typical Day Member Service: Builds strong relationships with current and potential members; identifies member life‑stage cycles and provides financial advice or refers to appropriate advisor. Member Transactions: Processes a full range of complex member transactions including personal loans, retail mortgages, RRSP loans, investment products (typically under $100K), opening personal or business accounts, debit/credit cards, line‑of‑credit/overdraft protection, and related insurance products. Branch Goals: Supports achievement of annual branch goals and objectives through proactive promotion of First West products and services, participation in branch campaigns, and actively seeks potential cross‑sell and referral opportunities. Achieves established annual sales and referral targets. Branch Support: Performs administrative duties such as estate administration, completion of loan applications, credit investigations, and follow‑up phone calls to members as required. Other duties as required by branch leadership. Utilizes the day‑in‑the‑life guideline to prioritize and manage schedules while offering a remarkable, consistent member experience across First West. Branch Differentiation Lending limits will be assigned in consultation with credit services, based on experience and competency. In pilot locations, a key accountability is to build and maintain a strong presence and relationship in the community. Required Skills, Experience & Qualifications College or Technical School Diploma (2 years) in a related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience. Mutual Funds License required; PFP license an asset. Must complete the internal First West certification program specific to this role within the required timeframe. 2 years in a Member Advisor role, or equivalent. Demonstrated ability to identify needs and recommend products and services to members. Self‑starter with ability to work independently and solve problems using common sense and sound judgment. Proven ability to plan, organize and prioritize workload. Proficient in computer software such as Microsoft Office and banking software programs. Displays an understanding of risk and risk ownership by adhering to policies and procedures. Benefits & Compensation Mental health coverage and resources.
