Visit www.firesp.com to learn more and apply.Job Description:Project Managerreports to the General Manager and Senior Project Manager and is responsible for all aspects of projects including management of contractor sales, cost control on projects, project management, material preparation, work scheduling, and project breakdown.Report to the Senior Project Manager and General Manager.Lead a multidisciplined team dedicated to delivering highest standards, involving project and service work on time, within budget, and using best practices and standard.Submission of verbal and written reports covering potentials for sales new and existing, any potential customer product, service or system needs.Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, schematics and operational/product manuals.Establish contact and build relationships with clients, technicians, and subcontractors.Manage the equipment, materials ordering and delivery process, project schedules, manpower and materials.Prepare and track job costs to completion.Attend staff, construction and engineering meetings.Generate weekly reports of assigned projects, including status and manpower needs.Perform other related duties, as necessary.Some travel to sites and in office is expected.3+ years experience in the fire alarm industry demonstrating progressive responsibilities with either a CFAA certification or electrical background with 309A or equivalent experience.Fire Alarm Technician or Electrical Contractor experience preferred.Ability to read drawings and do take offs.Understanding of the current fire alarm system technology.Understanding of the Ontario and National Building, Fire Codes,Experience in maintaining project documentation, including as-built drawings, change order pricing, RFPs.Excellent interpersonal communication skills, verbal and written, with experience in writing detailed technical reports.Good understanding of general construction practices.Must have a valid G driver’s license.Character Traits and Strengths:Sense of pride and commitment to projects and customers.Ability to mentor.Contribute to new ideas to improve workflow.Independent and assume responsibility.Handle multiple demands and priorities.Why FSP?Supportive Culture: We value our employees and provide ongoing training.Career Growth: Advance your career with guidance from industry experts as well as tuition reimbursement and pay incentives.Broad Opportunities: With offices in the eastern U.S. and Canada, we offer diverse locations and roles.Client-Centered: We serve commercial property owners and facility managers with dedication and care.Rapid Growth: Join us as we expand and invest in new markets.Fire Safety and Protection (FSP) is laser focused on creating a culture that thrives on developing our people and protecting our clients’ assets.
