Red Seal Journeyman Carpenter (Senior / On-Call / Supervisory) Lewis-Joseph Consulting Inc. Winnipeg / Interlake Region, MB $40.00 per hour On-Call / Project-Based (Not full-time at outset) About the Role Lewis-Joseph Consulting Inc. is seeking an experienced Red Seal Journeyman Carpenter to support institutional, commercial, and specialty construction projects, including federal client work. This role is not full-time out of the gate. Work will be as-needed and project-based, with the opportunity to become more consistent as volume increases. This position is ideal for a senior or semi-retired carpenter who still enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in doing things properly, and is comfortable acting as a working supervisor on small crews. Key Responsibilities Perform hands-on carpentry work (repairs, renovations, fit-outs, miscellaneous works) Act as a site lead / working supervisor when required Coordinate day-to-day tasks with apprentices or labourers Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites Follow strict site procedures, documentation, and tool control requirements Communicate professionally with the Project Manager and client representatives Required Qualifications Red Seal Journeyman Carpenter (mandatory) 10+ years of practical carpentry experience preferred Strong knowledge of commercial / institutional construction Comfortable working in controlled or high-procedure environments Clear background and ability to pass security screening if required Reliable, calm, professional demeanor Own Vehicle Own basic hand tools Valid driver’s license What We’re Looking For This role is best suited to someone who: Is experienced and confident without needing constant supervision Leads by example rather than ego Is comfortable being both hands-on and supervisory Values professionalism, punctuality, and clean execution Is looking for flexible, meaningful work, not chaos or hustle culture Compensation & Structure $40.00 per hour Paid hourly Work offered on a call-up / project basis Opportunity for increased and more consistent hours as work volume grows Long-term relationship preferred over short-term #J-18808-Ljbffr
