Management Development Program – BC Plumbing EMCO Corporation, a leading national wholesale distributor of plumbing, HVAC, waterworks, and industrial products, is seeking full-time Management Development Program Trainees. The program is a 4‑phase, 3.5‑to‑4‑year rotational training designed to develop future leaders across Canada. Program Outline Phase 1: Warehouse and Customer Service – Build product knowledge, gain hands‑on experience with logistics, and learn customer service, counter sales, inventory control, credit management, and financial statements. Phase 2: Customer Relationships and Procurement – Transition from customer service to managing large‑scale projects, read blueprint drawings, and create material quotes for projects. Phase 3: Account Management and Proactive Sales – Develop business development skills, identify new business opportunities, negotiate contracts, and expand the customer base. Phase 4: Leadership and Operations – Lead a team, mentor others, run the business, and focus on leadership competencies, coaching, and strategy setting. Key Responsibilities Progress through the 4‑phase training to learn all aspects of the business—from shipping and receiving to employee development. Grow a sales territory, provide world‑class customer service, and build strong relationships with customers and vendors. Apply strategic vision and leadership to manage a team and run a profitable location. Collaborate with managers and teammates across regions and Canada to build a successful management career. Qualifications University degree or college diploma – all disciplines are considered. Positive attitude and results‑oriented mindset. Desire to continuously learn and grow. Excellent leadership, customer service, and organizational skills. Strong work ethic and high standard of integrity. Ability to work independently and in a team setting. Excellent communication skills and ability to build strong relationships. Proficient in Microsoft Office software. Strong interest in sales. Valid driver’s license.
