We are seeking a self‑motivated individual who has a thirst to develop new processes while improving existing ones. As a senior accountant at AppDirect you are someone who is able to roll up their sleeves for a hands‑on experience with an elite team to develop and build a first‑class accounting function. To be successful in this role, you must have strong knowledge of GAAP, accounting processes, controls and systems. This senior accountant will focus on AppDirect international operations.What you’ll do and how you’ll have an impactAssist in monthly close process and ensure compliance with monthly close calendar. Lead month‑end and year‑end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis;Prepare and manage accounting for commission payments, internally developed software, accruals, and prepaids;Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support business operations and financial reporting to provide financial insights and guidance to other teams to help inform decision‑making;Analyze and research technical accounting matters, providing accurate and comprehensive documentation of issues identified and resolutions reached;Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual balance sheet and income statement analytics. Assist in the preparation of U.S. GAAP financial statements;Assist with external financial audits and other due diligence requests;Support accounting team’s commitment to timely and accurate processing of accounting transactions in accordance with US GAAP and the Company’s internal controls. Ensure compliance with internal controls and company accounting policies and help strengthen the internal control environment;Perform other special projects and analyses as directed by management;Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff, fostering professional growth and development;Support the implementation and enhancement of accounting systems and tools, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of the business.What we’re looking forA Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA (preferred);Minimum 3+ years of experience, combination of Big 4 and private industry experience strongly desired;Experience establishing and optimizing reporting processes to ensure accurate and timely reporting;Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including excellent written, oral, listening and presentational skills and ability to work well under pressure and interact at all levels are also required. Bilingual English and French speaker a plus;Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with limited supervision;NetSuite ERP system experience a plus.
