Networking Engineer

Aversan Inc . ( www.aversan.com )  is a reputable Engineering Company that provides expertise in Systems Integration and Software Testing for industries including Digital Health, Medical Devices, IT and Aerospace. We are currently seeking a qualified Networking Engineer to work on leading-date technology products. The successful candidate for this full-time position will be a part of a highly motivated and highly technical work environment that feeds off the collective energy of a team-oriented workplace.

Description
We are seeking a software developer for networking solutions who is excited to be part of an innovative and growing software development team. As a network developer you will be responsible for maintaining network configuration and software components in our labs and on the vehicle platform. We are looking for a candidate with a Computer Electronics or Engineering background who can program utilizing network protocols. You will report to the Area Manager of the Cybersecurity and Integration Team within the Software and Cybersecurity Department.

Responsibilities

  • Ability to set up protocols on CISCO/Linux based systems.
  • System programming using C and bash.
  • Competency in C, C++ 11 or later, and Python are required.
  • Strong debugging skills to diagnose and fix network failures.

Basic Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years-experience
  • Education: Diploma or Degree in Computer Electronics or Engineering
  • Working Experience with the following:
    • TCP, UDP stack
    • IEEE 802.11.xx
    • Routing protocols (EIGRP, OSPF, BGP)
    • Ability to configure and manage network to support different application layer protocols.
    • Hands on experience with Linux and Windows user, network, firewall configuration, and management
    • Hands on experience on troubleshooting hardware and software network issues
    • Hands on experience in Linux Network Programming using bash, python, CIC++
    • Hands on experience in scripting for network automation and configuration using bash, python. IP Multicast Routing
    • Virtual Infrastructure Technologies (ESXI and HyperV)
    • vSphere and vCenter
    • Firewall configuration and ACL rules.
    • Linux Terminal and Windows Command Line
    • SSH, Telnet, DHCP, DNS, STP, TFTP

Preferred Qualification 
  • Switching, routing and firewall configuration of products from Cisco, Juniper, Aruba
  • Wireshark traffic analysis
  • Wireless spectrum troubleshooting and management.
  • Throughput and capacity management
  • Programming languages: Bash, Python, C, C++11 or later
