Water and Wastewater Network Systems Associate

**Summary of Duties**
Reports to the Division Manager IV or designate. Provides information technology support related to SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems management, including installation, configuration and maintenance of hardware and software systems.

**Work Performed**
Conduct preventative maintenance programs to SCADA related hardware, software and peripherals.

Install hardware for servers and network components, and provide related support, such as installing and configuring servers, software components, switches, wireless access points, and network fire walls.

Install program patches and updates received from vendor, anti-virus updates and cyber security updates.

Respond to network issues from system health packages and take corrective action. Escalate
more serious issues to vendor or manager as required.

Complete daily and scheduled system backup.

Maintain all archival information for various systems components, such as data base backups, switch configurations, active directory and storage array networks (SAN).

Maintain and update operational manuals and associated procedures.

Provide technical guidance and training to users regarding features and uses of IT related hardware and software.

Maintain working knowledge of current personal computer platforms applicable to the SCADA operation.

Perform related duties as assigned.

**Qualifications/Experience**
Completion of a three year Community College diploma in a related IT program, such as Computer Systems Technology, or Control Engineering Technologist or equivalent.

Demonstrated knowledge and experience with installed hardware and software.

**Specialized Training & Licenses** Skills and abilities in the following areas are necessary**:
Cisco Network Certification
A+ Certification

Valid Driver's Licence-Class G

**Compensation and Other Information**
$43,172 - $60,172 (Level 8)

Current hours of Work: Monday - Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
