Reporting to the Facilities Manager, this is a licensed and specialized position and will work on our team of Maintenance Technicians.Relocation or rotational options availableResponsibilities:Plumbing and renovation work in accordance with work orders, plans, and specificationsTroubleshoot and repair malfunctioning oil burners, layout and assemble oil burner heating system components, test installed units, and adjust controls for proper functioningPerform preventative maintenance work on motors, pumps, control devices, boilers, forced air furnaces and oil-fired hot water tanksIdentifying supplies and compiling a materials list for sealiftAssists in inventory and stock controlWill be required to be part of a call-out team dealing with emergencies on a rotating basisSome travel may be required to other communities as necessaryEnsure safety standards are metQualifications:The applicant must possess a valid journeymen’s ticket in OBM, plumbing experience considered an assetThe successful applicant must have a current class 5 driver’s license and be able to provide a criminal background check free from relevant convictionsPreference will be given to candidates with prior experience in the property management or facilities maintenance industryMust be conscientious, demonstrate a strong work ethic, and work well within a team environmentDemonstrated compliance with safe work practices and safety reporting proceduresBenefits:Competitive payExtended health care including medical, dental, and vision coverageLife insurance, drug coverage, and wellness programsDiscounts on rent at Northview propertiesVacation Travel Assistance for Northern employeesIf your background matches the qualifications listed above and you are looking for an opportunity to make a difference in the communities we serve, please submit your resume in confidence.
