About your role as a Casual On-Call Community Inclusion Worker - Bakery Specialist: Participates in the organization and implementation of Clements Centre Society’s social enterprise, the Mindful Mouthful. Encourages and facilitates individuals’ participation in bakery-related activities. What you will bring: Enthusiasm, empathy, warmth, and understanding that align with our vision, mission, and values Demonstrated ability to advocate, provide personalized support, and teach life skills and self-advocacy skills to participants and families Knowledge of theory, values, and practices in community living including support systems Ability to work effectively with families, staff, volunteers, and organizations Ability to work alone and unsupervised, as well as part of a team Effective interpersonal communication skills Demonstrated good time and general management skills Positive role model, including modeling a healthy lifestyle Requirements of the job: A Community Support Worker Certificate, or equivalent education and experience Three months’ experience delivering similar services supporting individuals with disabilities in community settings Valid First Aid and CPR certification Valid Food Safety Certification Additional information: This position is open to all qualified individuals and requires Union membership (BCGEU) May be required to use personal vehicle Successful applicants will be required to obtain a Class 5 driver's license in order to pass the trial period As an equal opportunity employer, we welcome applications from all qualified individuals, including women, Indigenous people, racialized persons, people with disabilities, members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, and all those with diverse lived experiences.
