We are 100% employee-owned, which provides flexibility to make many key business decisions at a local level.As we continue to grow our business and enhance our service offerings locally, we are seeking a highly motivated, technically competent, and entrepreneurially minded Senior Transportation Design Engineer to join our team.Your Work EnvironmentYou’ll have the choice of joining our Fredericton, Halifax, Moncton, or Saint John office, with a flexible hybrid work model. Our offices are designed to be bright, vibrant, and collaborative. Regardless of location, you will collaborate with EXP’s multidisciplinary team on Atlantic Canada’s largest transportation infrastructure projects, with opportunities to contribute to projects outside Atlantic Canada if desired.Your Role & ResponsibilitiesCoordinate the planning, design, and construction management of a wide range of urban and rural transportation projects including new roadway alignments, interchanges, roundabouts, signalized/unsignalized intersections, and multi-use trails.Prepare construction specifications, drawings, and tender documents.Manage project budgets and schedules.Identify efficient project execution methods and associated resourcing needs.Engage with a variety of stakeholders including owners, contractors, sub-consultants, operations staff, utilities, businesses, and the public.Coach, mentor, and develop junior staff.Foster a safe and inclusive working culture.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.8+ years of relevant technical experience in the planning, design, and construction of urban and rural transportation projects including new roadway alignments, interchanges, roundabouts, signalized/unsignalized intersections, and multi-use trails.In-depth knowledge of applicable standards, guidelines, and best practices.Established network of professional contacts within the transportation industry.Professional designation (or eligibility) in NB and/or NSStrong project management skills.Ability to problem solve by combining sound professional judgement, creativity, and innovation.Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills.Equity and AccessibilityEXP subscribes to the Workplace Equity Program.
