Loblaws Companies Ltd. is currently seeking highly motivated candidates to fill the position of Senior Analyst, Procure to Pay (P2P) within our Enterprise Business Services team. This position interacts with internal and external customers to provide information in response to inquiries. The Senior Analyst will play a key role in driving standards, simplification, and implementing process improvement initiatives to improve to-end Supplier Management. Reporting to P2P Director, you will learn and support our business partners in five key areas of Finance. This includes Costing, EDI, Vendor Services, Vendor Audit, and Vendor Income. If you like working in a fast-paced business environment What you’ll do: Participate and lead in the development and implementation of projects, policies, and/or procedures, aimed at improving end to end Supplier Management Drive root cause analysis of inquiries, ensuring back-office accountability for effective resolution and consistent day-to-day operational excellence Explore new ways of approaching business processes to inspire change and mitigate/eliminate potential inquiries Support controls and governance models through documentation of new/updated process Facilitate knowledge transfers between various internal business teams, ensuring seamless information flow and understanding Partner strategically with Finance, Operations, and Business partners to deeply understand of business processes as they relate to financial processes and reporting Synthesize complex information from multiple internal and external sources/systems into clear, actionable explanations and plans for both internal business partners and back office teams Lead and facilitate key stakeholder, fostering strong relationship with Suppliers, internal business partners, and back office to drive collaborative solutions Look at proactive metrics to detect and resolve issues with the P2P pipeline including, but not limited to, open and aging GRIR, EDI transmission issues, store and DC receiving issues, P&L lines, and data issues Support Suppliers and Procurement teams with Costing, and Vendor Income analysis and projects What you are: Curious Approach – ask questions, make linkages between business processes, and challenge existing processes Positive, eager to learn and apply new skills to work that inspires change Exceptional analytical skills - ability to synthesize tremendous amounts of data, write reports, and develop presentations that clearly communicate findings, including delivering presentations to a variety of business partners Shares knowledge, ideas, and standard methodologies with all P2P team members Committed - completes tasks on time and accurately, owns results, demonstrates initiative, and is hungry for new tasks and responsibilities Understands and implements the Lean and Agile philosophy for improved efficiency and effectiveness across business processes Self-starter, able to grasp and understand business concepts, think independently, and take initiative required to resolve issues What you have done: Bachelor’s Degree or Post-Secondary education in Business, Accounting, or Finance related subject areas or 3-5 years of relevant work experience in the retail food industry or the above subject areas Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate and present information in a clear, concise format Advanced MS Office skills (Excel, Access, PowerPoint) Previous working experience with SAP, VBA, and SQL is considered an asset Proven understanding of accounting and financial processes and experience with connecting dots between Finance and Business functions Consistent record to plan, organize, and prioritize numerous tasks with conflicting priorities and consistently delivering on time and accurate results Excellent skills in relationship building and influencing skills to achieve results Being bilingual in French is considered an asset At Loblaw, we celebrate diversity and strive to build a culture of inclusion where differences are accepted, valued, and supported.
