Job DescriptionThe Flooring Sales Specialist is an integral part of our back-end operation services. With a focus in customer service, the flooring associate engages and assists customers with suggestive selling for their products and sharing product knowledge along with providing them with exceptional service.Typical career steps are to move to a specialized role in project or contractor sales.ResponsibilitiesDrive sales through engagement of customers, suggestive selling, and sharing product knowledgeClarify and understand customers’ needs and take them to the best solution(s) for their projects.Demonstrating high standards of safety within their department and the storeMaintain store standardsDocument all sales activities in company CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system and keep currentTake initiative and confidently direct customer interactionsStay updated about latest products trends and market conditionsQualificationsStrong communication, team player, and inter-personal skillsAbility to build rapport with customersWilling to learn product knowledgeExperience in sales is an assetKnowledge of MS Office Suite is an assetKnowledge of Lumber Building Materials is an assetAbout UsFounded in 1882, J.D.
