BDC, the only bank dedicated exclusively to entrepreneurs, is seeking an experienced Commercial Account Manager. In this role, you will leverage your financial expertise, interpersonal skills, and networking strengths to deliver customized financing and advisory solutions to businesses with sales up $50M. CHALLENGES TO BE MET Develop new business opportunities and network with existing clients and prospects to identify their needs and provide tailored advice and BDC solutions. Build trusted relationships within the local business community to generate referrals and uncover new opportunities. Collaborate with teammates to achieve objectives related to client acquisition, transaction volume, advisory service delivery, and portfolio growth. Apply strong analytical and negotiation skills, exercising sound credit judgment when preparing and presenting financing proposals. What We Are Looking For Bachelor’s degree in commerce or business administration (required). Keen interest in entrepreneurship and a solid understanding of diverse business models. Relevant client‑facing experience in commercial banking. Demonstrated ability in business development with a systematic and disciplined approach. Strategic listening and communication skills, with the ability to persuade and influence stakeholders from various backgrounds. Outstanding customer service and impactful support for clients and business contacts. Team player who builds lasting relationships with peers, business contacts, and external partners. Ability to drive negotiations and partnerships with senior decision makers. Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle (required). Preferred Assets Professional credentials such as MBA, CPA, PMP, CMC, or PEng. Proficiency in multiple languages (French is an asset). Proven track record of inspiring, influencing, and engaging colleagues, clients, and professional connections.
