The Team The Peace District Authorizations team is a well-established group of professionals who play a key role in supporting sustainable resource development across the region. As Resource Manager, you’ll lead a dedicated team of approximately 10 staff within a broader unit of 21, working closely with colleagues in stewardship, revenue, and authorizations to guide permit decisions that impact industry, employment, and government revenue. The Role This Resource Manager role offers a meaningful opportunity to shape decisions that directly impact communities, industries, and the environment across British Columbia. You’ll guide permit reviews, support the District Manager in decision-making, and collaborate with major licensees and other ministries to ensure cumulative impacts are thoughtfully considered. The work supports government revenue and sustainable development, while promoting fairness and transparency in how resources are managed. Qualifications University degree or diploma in a field related to natural resource management, business/public administration or acceptable equivalent may be considered. Experience in leading and coaching diverse teams in a supervisory or team lead environment. Experience developing and maintaining working relationships and resolving problems with stakeholders in natural resource management. Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to 2 days at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement.
