Overview Position Summary... The Manager, Talent & Succession Management, partners with the Senior Director, Talent Management, Line HR and the Chief People Officer to ensure WM Canada and each business function has a future ready workforce (inclusive of capabilities and diversity representation) to drive the talent agenda required to support business and functional priorities for both the immediate and long-term mandate. Responsibilities Talent Intelligence & Data: In partnership with the Talent Management Leadership Team, VP HRBP and Chief People Officer manage senior executive talent data and presentations for Walmart Canada and Walmart International. Enable talent strategies and decision-making through strong talent intelligence from a range of sources. Drive Targeted Succession Outcomes: Activates initiatives at the global and local level by establishing strong governance oversight for talent, succession planning and diverse representation pipeline outcomes. Innovates via Human Centric talent solutions: Leverages a human-centric design approach to ensure talent processes and solutions are simple, easy and effective; optimize to develop increased capabilities and higher performance culture. Champions and creates buy-in for testing and implementing new talent management and strategic workforce planning technologies and solutions. Supports development initiatives to accelerate and amplify hi po and on bench talent: In partnership with Talent & Leadership teams, define and develop programs to build a diverse pipeline of mission critical talent. Partner with HRBPs and business leaders to establish meaningful future focused development plans for key/top talent inclusive of mentoring, coaching and sponsorship. Utilize Assessments & Metrics: Define and report on key talent and succession planning metrics to identify strengths, gaps and inform new insights and actions. In partnership with Global Talent Teams, leverage assessments for high potential identification and development. Build the talent story- showing where we are, where we can go, and the road map to get there. Collaborate with the People Analytics insights team to review findings and help to provide a clear direction to prioritize talent programs. Transform data into a simple, visual story to influence decision makers and optimize programs based on results. Inspires Acceleration: In partnership with line HR, BU Leaders and the Internal Talent Team, coordinate and support talent acceleration programs to increase capability and visibility of diverse talent, ensuring development opportunities have the intended business and development impact. Manage International Talent Development Programs and Development of International Talent Reporting: Program contact for international talent development accelerators, including iRISE, Elevate, ELX, BLX, Quarterly Submissions, Annual Officer 360, etc. Serve as Subject Matter Expert: Develops relationships with talent management industry professionals and/or organizations to maintain current market trends knowledge for internal use. Leverages and shares talent management, strategic workforce planning and talent analytics best practices as well as current trends and innovative new tools and methods to increase the effectiveness of talent solutions. Qualifications BS or BA degree, preferably with an emphasis in HR or Business preferred. Strong knowledge of current market practices and trends in talent management, succession planning, and people analytics. Ability to translate business strategies into actionable and compelling talent development initiatives. Demonstrated success designing, building, and flawlessly executing an overarching Talent Management initiatives. Prefer experience within organizations during periods of growth and transformation. Extensive experience in advising and implementing workforce strategies; including organizational capability design, success profiles. A business partner mindset with the experience and confidence necessary to work with senior business leaders, HR leaders, and employees at all levels to deliver results. High business acumen with the ability to translate business objectives into Talent priorities. Strong project management and prioritization skills. Strong communication skills – written, oral and presentation. Highly proficient in developing compelling executive presentations, acts with a high level of confidentiality, highly organized and skilled at keeping versional controls.
