The Office of the Auditor General is looking for an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to partner with the Office and drive financial performance and sustainability. As a senior leader in Corporate Services, the CFO provides strategic financial and procurement direction in alignment with the values of the Office of the Auditor General (OAG) and the Western Australian public sector. The CFO oversees finance and procurement operations, fostering a culture of accountability, efficiency, and continuous improvement, while ensuring robust financial management, including accounting, budgeting, performance analysis, procurement, and asset management, in full compliance with relevant legislation and public sector standards. In this pivotal role, you will provide expert strategic advice, insightful financial analysis, and forward‑looking forecasts to executive leadership, empowering informed decision‑making and supporting the Office’s long‑term objectives. You are required to provide : a current comprehensive CV a 2‑page statement addressing the below Work‑Related Requirements. proven ability to apply critical thinking and scenario analysis in the development of strategic and operational financial plans that effectively address both current and future business needs of the Office, and demonstrated success in senior financial management roles, overseeing operational finance functions to consistently achieve and maintain strong financial performance a copy of your qualification (certificate or university transcript) evidence of your professional accounting membership. Throughout this process you will be assessed against the applicant requirements as per the JDF, both work related requirements and leadership expected behaviours.
