Our Integrated technology enables product managers and developers the flexibility and speed to build cutting-edge financial products.**Role Overview**We are seeking a **Director of Technology** who will serve as the operational and delivery leader for VoPay’s technology organization. This role acts as the senior subordinate to our VP of Technology, owning the day-to-day operations of the engineering team, ensuring high-quality execution, delivery, and cross-functional alignment.This is a highly visible leadership role responsible for scaling VoPay’s technical organization, improving engineering efficiency, and supporting the delivery of our fast-growing embedded finance platform.**Key Responsibilities:****Technology Leadership & Team Management**Lead, mentor, and manage engineering managers, tech leads, QA, DevOps, and developers.Oversee day-to-day technology operations, sprint planning, delivery, and execution.Ensure the engineering team is aligned with product priorities, timelines, and business goals.Support hiring, onboarding, performance management, and team development.**Engineering Operations**Own and improve operational processes across the technology organization (SDLC, QA, release management, etc.).Implement best practices for documentation, testing, deployment, and monitoring.Drive operational excellence and engineering efficiency across all teams.Ensure technical initiatives are delivered on time and meet VoPay’s quality standards.**Delivery & Execution**Work closely with Product, Compliance, and Customer Success to ensure timely delivery of product enhancements and client integrations.Manage cross-functional technical programs and ensure transparency across the organization.Establish and monitor engineering KPIs, reporting regularly to the VP of Technology**Technical Oversight**Review technical decisions with engineering leads and ensure alignment with architectural direction set by the VP of Technology.Provide hands-on technical guidance when needed.Ensure platform stability, scalability, and performance.**Operational Ownership**Oversee technical support workflows and escalations from internal teams.Work with DevOps on release cadence, incident response, and uptime.Optimize tools, processes, and systems used by engineering.**Qualifications:**8+ years of experience in software engineering leadership roles.Experience managing multi-disciplinary engineering teams (Backend, Frontend, DevOps, QA).Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, API-based platforms, and modern SaaS architecture.Proven experience running engineering operations at a fintech, SaaS, or high-growth tech company.Excellent communication skills and ability to operate cross-functionally.Strong project management and organizational skills.Hands-on technical background (preferably in fintech/payments, but not required).**What You Bring:**A builder’s mindset: you can scale teams, processes, and systems.A strong operational discipline and ability to bring structure to growing teams.A collaborative leadership style with the confidence to own delivery.The ability to translate business priorities into engineering execution.Experience working in fast-paced environments with multiple priorities.**What We Offer**Competitive salary and benefits package.Opportunity to work in a fast-paced, innovative fintech environment.A collaborative and supportive team atmosphere.Vopay International Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
