OverviewDistributor Services is looking for a bright and enthusiastic individual to join the DS Knowledge Management Centre team as a Compensation Specialist. Reporting to the Manager of Distributor Services KMC, this role will be accountable for providing consistent and timely support to our internal and external customers, with a primary focus on managing the compensation administration to advisors across multiple Distribution Channels.Position ResponsibilitiesConduct all accountabilities in compliance with privacy, legal, and regulatory requirementsProcessing Advisors’ compensation must be completed, reconciled, audited and delivered within critical timelinesManage both AWD and non-AWD volumes, with particular emphasis on time-critical functions while maintaining service standards in a high-volume environmentResponsible for annual tax remittance, amendments and reporting to Revenue Canada (CCRA)Ad-hoc complex, escalated and time-sensitive compensation business needs and problems with particular emphasis on relationship management, situational communication and solution oriented responsesCommunicate clearly and concisely to support problem resolution in the shortest possible timeframe and support contact centre inquiries and encourage collaboration between teams, both within Distributor Services and with other Business UnitsConduct ad-hoc analysis as required, leveraging MS Excel and other toolsSME for DS Compensation and develop a comprehensive understanding of Company Policy and an in-depth understanding of advisor compensation for all distribution channelsParticipate in projects and assignments; manage the impact that any resulting changes will have on the team’s processes and Advisor/Distributor experienceUnderstanding and supporting our partners in Manila (the MBPS team) and working with them to improve compensation processesContinuous assessment and improvement of processes to improve service to customers, workflows and identify gaps, assess, log and own process improvementsOwnership of documentation by Identifying gaps, assess, log and own knowledge management (YODA) documentation updatesRequired QualificationsExceptional oral and written communication skillsStrong mathematical, analytical and problem-solving skillsIntermediate/advanced MS Excel userOrganizational and priority management skills with strong attention to detailDemonstrated coaching and mentoring skillsSolution oriented, demonstrated judgement and decision making skillsBilingual (French & English) is required - The successful candidate will be required to communicate in English and French in order to support clients from various jurisdictions outside of QuebecPreferred QualificationsProficient with Distributor Services systems (AWD, DSS, FASAT/FASATWeb, Lotus Notes, Repsource)Strong working knowledge of Distributor Services and DS Compensation policies, procedures and conceptsWhen you join our teamWe’ll empower you to learn and grow the career you want.We’ll recognize and support you in a flexible environment where well-being and inclusion are more than just words.As part of our global team, we’ll support you in shaping the future you want to see.About Manulife and John HancockManulife Financial Corporation is a leading international financial services provider, helping people make their decisions easier and lives better.To learn more about us, visit https://www.manulife.com/en/about/our-story.html.Manulife is an Equal Opportunity EmployerAt Manulife/John Hancock, we embrace our diversity.
