Design Technician & Order Engineering Mechanical Co‑op Join to apply for the Design Technician & Order Engineering Mechanical Co‑op role at INNIO Group. This role supports the INNIO Order Engineering & Power Generation team, focusing on the design of reciprocating engines and packaged generator sets. The job involves collaborating with global engineering teams to provide product solutions for customers. Co‑op term: January 2026 – April 2026 Essential responsibilities: Create and modify parametric 3D models and drawings throughout all stages of the design and development process to communicate component design intent using CREO. Produce 2D drawings, applying dimension techniques while considering manufacturability and design intent. Create and release complete technical data packages for new design production. Complete all required business system transactions associated with engineering change releases. Create and release customer documentation packages providing instructions for installation, operation, and maintenance. Use expertise in design of reciprocating engines and gensets to help resolve manufacturing issues. Participate as the mechanical order engineering resource in project teams, completing design tasks required to release products to schedule. Participate in technical design reviews. Provide technical support to other functional areas as required. Qualifications / Requirements: Currently pursuing a degree in a related discipline, such as Mechanical Engineering or Technologist. Experience working within a manufacturing setting. Desired characteristics: Demonstrated design skills, analyzing technical requirements and applying appropriate skill sets to design and detail system schematics within AutoCAD or similar 2D CAD software. Experience designing circuit schematics and wiring diagrams. Experience with Pro/INtralink, PDMLINK/Windchill, or other CAD file management systems considered an asset. Experience with Oracle/SAP business systems considered an asset. Demonstrated proficiency in written, oral, and presentation skills. Embraces continuous improvement and has a strong desire to learn.
