This is a hybrid role that could be based out of either our Bowmanville office or Mississauga offices.Key Responsibilities:Design and analysis of structural components for building projects.Prepare structural drawings, specifications, and technical reports.Work with the buildings team in the preparation of project documentation, proposals, and construction schedules.Conduct site visits and assist with inspections to ensure structural integrity and adherence to design drawings and specifications. Prepare site visit reports to track construction progress and deficiencies.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless project execution and delivery.Assist in the preparation of cost estimates and evaluate project timelines.Ensure compliance with all local building codes, regulations, and safety standards.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural engineering, preferably in the building sector.License Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) from PEO. Candidates who are in the process of obtaining their P.Eng. license or are nearing completion of the requirements may also be considered.Knowledge of structural analysis software and design tools (e.g., SAP2000, or similar).Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Good communication and teamwork abilities.Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle (for site visits, as required).Experience in aviation, defence, or federal industries are assetsAt CIMA+, we value diversity of talent and perspective.
