Job Description CIMA+’s Buildings team is renowned for designing high‑quality buildings. We deliver cost‑effective solutions to engineering challenges across Canada, from planning to construction. This hybrid role will support our growing Buildings group and may be based out of our Bowmanville or Mississauga offices. Key Responsibilities Design and analyze structural components for building projects. Prepare structural drawings, specifications, and technical reports. Collaborate with the Buildings team to produce project documentation, proposals, and construction schedules. Conduct site visits, assist with inspections, and prepare site‑visit reports to track construction progress and deficiencies. Work in multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless project execution and delivery. Assist in preparing cost estimates and evaluating project timelines. Ensure compliance with all local building codes, regulations, and safety standards. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering. Minimum of 5 years of structural engineering experience, preferably in the building sector. Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) from PEO, or candidates in the final stages of obtaining their license may be considered. Knowledge of structural analysis software and design tools (e.g., SAP2000 or similar). Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks. Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle for site visits, as required. Experience in aviation, defence, or federal industries is an asset. Why Choose CIMA+?
