With modern terminals in Calgary, AB, Edmonton, AB, Winnipeg, MB, and Terrace, BC, our dedicated team supports operations across Western Canada and the Central U.S. We proudly serve industries including oil & gas, construction, manufacturing, building products, waste, and mining.We are growing and looking for a qualified Heavy Duty Truck & Trailer Mechanic to join our growing team today in our Edmonton.What We OfferCompetitive hourly rate, dependant on years of experienceComprehensive benefits planMonday–Friday schedule (steady, predictable hours)Boot allowanceStable year-round work with well-maintained equipmentOn-site parkingSupport for a healthy home/work balanceDuties & ResponsibilitiesThe Heavy Duty Truck & Trailer Mechanic is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on commercial transport vehicles & trailers; ensuring all work meets manufacturer’s specifications and legislated regulations; interpreting and processing work orders; and providing performance evaluations, mentorship, and supervision to the apprentice team.Ensure all equipment is maintained to the highest standards to maximize uptime and availabilityInspect and test mechanical units (engines, transmissions, axles, brake systems) to locate faults and malfunctionsDiagnose, adjust, repair, or replace parts and components on truck systems (chassis, frame, cab, engine & drivetrain, air brakes, steering, fuel, hydraulic, electrical, electronic)Adjust, repair, or replace parts and components on truck-trailer and trailer systems (structural, brake, electrical)Promote safety and quality; follow all health, safety, environmental policies and proceduresComplete related duties as assignedWhat You BringHeavy Duty Truck & Trailer Mechanic with minimum 5 years experience is requiredLevel 3 or higher is requiredCVIP Certification (considered an asset)Class 1 License (considered an asset)Safety-first mindset; able to maintain a clean, organized work areaProven ability to interpret work orders/technical manuals and document repairs & parts accuratelyStrong diagnostics across truck and trailer systems; capable in scheduled PM and corrective repairsHigh attention to detail, strong organization, and clear communication across teamsKnowledge of relevant legislation and regulatory standardsAbility to pass a company paid criminal record check and pre-employment drug/alcohol screeningWhy Join Tri-Line?At Tri-Line Carriers, we value our people as much as our customers.
