Financial Controller

Exciting opportunity for a Controller to join an established and growing manufacturing company in the Hamilton area Reporting to the President, the Controller will lead a small team and manage the overall financial operations of the Company by providing timely and accurate information including financial reports, budgeting, forecasting and analysis. This is an in-office position, working collaboratively as a key member of the leadership group

Responsibilities:
- Ensure timely and accurate monthly reporting and analysis
- Analyze production costs and efficiencies, recommending changes as necessary
- Lead the preparation and analysis of the annual budget, capital budgeting and annual/monthly forecast
- Leverage technology and other tools to build simple and effective reporting to support business decisions
- Maintain and develop financial systems, processes and procedures
- Create and review analysis and reports of financial and operating data
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Corporate Governance and Compliance including GST/HST, corporate taxes etc.
- Act as primary liaison for external auditors, providing accurate and timely financial information
- Provide coaching and direction to a small team
- Additional duties as required
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accounting and CPA designation is required
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in a manufacturing setting
- Proven experience effectively leading a small team
- Strong system skills are essential for success in this position; hands-on experience with QuickBooks is an asset
- This position requires exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work well in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- This is an IN-OFFICE position, working collaboratively as a key member of the management team
