ISO & Compliance Specialist Work Type: Onsite. The IMS & Compliance specialist supports the maintenance and continuous improvement of the company’s Integrated Management System (IMS) to ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and other applicable standards. This role collaborates with process owners to maintain effective document control, conduct internal audits, support certification readiness, coordinate training and awareness, and drive system standardization across the organization. This position reports to the National SHEQ Manager.
Responsibilities
Monitor and coordinate activities to ensure the organization remains compliant with all relevant My Epiroc requirements and ISO standards, communicating updates and supporting implementation as needed. Maintain the document control system by working with process owners to ensure procedures, forms, and policies are current, properly approved, and aligned with system requirements. Support identification and follow‑up of risks and opportunities as per ISO requirements. Process Mapping – work with process owners to clearly map new or existing processes.
Monitor, track, and follow up on all open actions resulting from audits, inspections, non‑conformities, and management reviews to ensure they are closed on time and effectively resolved. Facilitate effective root cause analysis of nonconformities. Corrective actions – work with process owners to develop and verify the effective implementation of corrective action plans. Training of SHEQ/IMS materials, as appropriate, in support of accomplishing business plans/goals.
Support preparation for external audits and certification renewals by gathering necessary evidence and coordinating with stakeholders. Plan, coordinate, and conduct internal audits according to the annual audit schedule; issue and track findings and verify effective closure. Proactively recommend and implement improvements to IMS processes (not just maintain compliance).
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering, environmental science or a related discipline. 3–5 years of experience working with integrated management systems or ISO standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001). Lead Auditor certification (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001) is highly preferred. Mining/manufacturing experience preferred.
Skills
& Abilities Bilingual French/English is an asset. High level of initiative and ability to be productive to meet business goals. Ability to build positive working relationships across departments. Ability to effectively communicate, interact and build relationships with peers, coworkers, and managers to provide solutions to business related problems.
Clear and effective verbal, presentation, and written communication skills. Strong problem‑solving skills (including root cause analysis). Strong organization skills and keen attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
