Join Our Team as a Project Engineering Specialist at Epiroc Epiroc Customer Center is looking for an Automation Project Specialist to help support implementation of digitalisation and automation projects within the mining and construction industry. We are looking for a person who wants to grow with us, has the right mindset of moving fast and working closely with customers. If you’re ready to grow with us and bring cutting‑edge technology to our customers, this is the perfect opportunity for you Work Type Onsite Location Lively, Ontario / Rouyn‑Noranda, Quebec / Malartic, Quebec / Val‑d’Or, Quebec Responsibilities Conduct change of management during visits at customer sites. Provide “hands on” technical support during project implementation phase on each commissioning. Develop project management and technical documentation. Administrative duties, i.e. price‑list updates, Lotus Notes databases, etc. Manage projects from inception to completion. Product development and continuous improvement in an agile approach. Become well‑versed in Canadian specific requirements for all products. Coach and train field service teams as well as product administrators/planners. Regular customer visits along with collection of performance tracking to support real‑time data. Responsible and accountable for overall planning and execution of various automation and digitalisation projects. Monitoring and reporting of project and system KPI to ensure projects are successful and meeting expectations. Develop and execute project blueprints for all automation systems. Liaison with other stakeholders on project progress and status. Coordination with other members of multi‑disciplinary team. Coordinate activities with sub‑suppliers and other stakeholders. Collaborating with global teams on projects. Travel to customer sites and to global product companies will be required. Support capital equipment marketing teams to estimate project costs and resources required. Plan and coordinate service support resources required for projects. Act as a liaison between internal stakeholders and customers. Support Surface and Underground equipment divisions with automation sales by utilising equipment data to establish baselines of operations. Be an enabler of Epiroc 6th Sense (Insight, Control, Optimise). Knowledge / Education Technology degree in Mechatronics, Computer Science, Information Technology or similar. Project management certification and experience would be an asset. Education & Experience Minimum five years of work experience implementing or supporting automation, digital or connectivity solutions within mining or similar industries. Internal Qualifications Strong troubleshooting and computer skills. Familiarity with ISO processes and procedures. Excellent organisational skills. Ability to multitask and prioritise. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Interpersonal abilities. Public speaking and presentation skills. Willingness to travel 30% – 50% of the time, some international travel may be required. Willingness to go underground. A proven track record as a strong team member. Self‑starter. Problem‑solver attitude. Ability to represent Epiroc in a professional and ethical manner following our core values – Innovation, commitment and collaboration. Skills and Abilities Linux knowledge/experience. Experience developing documentation and diagrams. AutoCAD and office pack. Knowledge of communication protocols (Profibus, Profinet, CAN, etc.) is considered an asset. Project management experience is considered an asset. Good communication skills internally and externally and willingness to develop strong relations with the development centre in Sweden and Texas. Project leader skills. Troubleshooting skills. Wi‑Fi/LTE spectrum analysis. Writing skills for documentation development. Ability to use network tools for troubleshooting. Strong presentation skills along with good communication skills. Highly developed analytical skills. Good team and leadership skills. Fluency in both English and French would be highly desirable.
