Our client, a designer/manufacturer and global integrator of welding and assembly systems and material handling systems, is in search of a Senior PLC Programmer to join their team.NOTE:Must be willing and able to travel to the USA, without restrictions, effective on the start dateSuccessful candidate is required to be eligible for TN VisaResponsibilitiesCollaborate Across Disciplines: Work closely with mechanical and controls engineering experts, as well as skilled trades professionals, throughout the programming, tryout, and installation phases of projectsPLC Programming and Debugging: Execute PLC logic and programming tasks during the build and debug stages at our facilities and at customer sites during installation and launch phasesEnhance Control Systems: Introduce programming enhancements to controls and logic systems based on customer changes or evolving manufacturing requirementsSmart Device Integration: Configure and set up smart devices such as cameras, nut runners, and drives, integrating them into active projectsData Management: Collect data from machines according to specific customer requirementsSystem Validation: Identify and resolve system issues, conduct tryouts, and validate I/O signals and interference zonesDocumentation: Thoroughly document all control logic changes in collaboration with the engineering teamEnd-User Training: Train PLC end-users at customer locations, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth operationsTravel Support: Travel locally and internationally to customer sites to provide on-site assistance, ensuring successful project executionRequired Skills & QualificationsEducation: Completed College or university program in ElectricalExperience: 5+ years of experience in designing, installing, commissioning, servicing, and troubleshooting pneumatic, mechanical, and electronic automated equipment in an industrial or manufacturing environmentEngineering/Technology, Mechatronics, Industrial Automation, or Robotic StudiesFlexibility: Ability to adapt work hours to accommodate customer production timelines when necessaryTechnical Skills: Proficiency with various software platforms, including Rockwell, Siemens, and Omron and familiarity with integrating smart devices into automated systemsCompensation & Benefits$38.00 - $40.00/hour (depending on experience)Competitive health, dental, vision, employee assistance, and wellness benefits, beginning on the first day of employmentPension, life, and disability insurance upon completion of the probationary periodMEDA offers an excellent referral bonus.
