And that is something to be excited aboutYour Role and Responsibilities:Xanadu is an industry leader in the burgeoning area of quantum software. As a Senior Full-Stack Web Developer, you will lead the development and maintenance of our PennyLane and Xanadu web properties. The goal of PennyLane is to provide researchers in the quantum computing space with a set of tools and algorithms for research and development against quantum hardware devices and simulators. You will:Develop, maintain, and expand pennylane.ai and other web applications using the latest web technologies. (React, Next.js, GraphQL, Python, PostgreSQL)Design, build and maintain pipelines to enable Xanadu’s technical writers and developers to deploy educational and technical content to our sitesDesign, build, and maintain a solid set of APIs for consumption by internal and external services and web front endsTake ownership of the architectural design, implementation, and performance of these web interfaces across mobile and desktop devicesWork with a cross-functional team to drive forward the product roadmap and build great experiences for our usersMentor junior developers, lead technical projects, and help define the technical direction of our productsEnsure high-quality production code by maintaining automated test coverage and a dynamic code review processPerform DevOps tasks, such as building and maintaining our CI/CD pipeline using GitHub ActionsBasic qualifications and experience:BSc in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Math, or related field5+ years of professional software development experienceProficient with relational databases (PostgreSQL or similar)Experience with Gatsby, Next.js, and Tailwind CSSExperience using git/GitHub, GitHub Actions, Terraform, and Turbo (or similar)Experience using Docker and deploying to cloud platforms like AWS or Google Cloud (or similar)Product-minded approach to software developmentIndependent problem-solver driven to deliver high-quality solutions to our usersComfortable working in a fast-paced environment while making and taking ownership of difficult technical decisionsStrong communication and collaboration skillsPreferred qualifications and experience:Experience with GraphQLExperience in Test Driven Development (TDD) methodologies, unit and integration testingExperience with OIDC and OAuth2.0Experience with Internationalization and web accessibilityExperience contributing to product strategyExperience leading a small to medium size team of developers (2-5)Our values are important.
