Environmental Health and Safety Co‑op (Hybrid) – May 2026 Join Kardium Inc. – a leader in medical device technology for atrial fibrillation – as an Environmental Health and Safety Co‑op Student. This is a hybrid position located in Burnaby, BC, with a term start in May 2026 and a duration of 4–8 months. Term & Salary Term: May 2026 – duration 4–8 monthsOpenings: 1Salary: $3,650 – $4,525 CAD per monthApplication Deadline: January 19, 2026 Your Opportunity Kardium’s mission is to deliver the best treatment for atrial fibrillation. You will be part of the continuous improvement team, gaining hands‑on experience in OHS program development and safety culture advancement. Responsibilities Perform audits of existing OHS programs to identify improvement opportunities Conduct risk assessments to identify potential hazards in new and existing equipment and processes Observe and engage in Joint Health and Safety Committee meetings and activities Conduct occupational hygiene qualitative and quantitative exposure assessments to production areas Deliver field‑based safety training, including inspection and proper use and care of PPE/RPE, equipment inspections, and safety device operation Aid in conducting field and office‑based ergonomic assessments Participate in incident investigations Qualifications Currently enrolled in a post‑secondary OHS or Occupational Hygiene diploma or degree program, or a post‑secondary engineering or science‑related program with an aptitude for OHS Desire to work as part of a team, driving OHS mindset and improvement initiatives Good working knowledge of applicable OHS regulations and standards Experience working in an office or manufacturing setting is an asset but not required Benefits & Growth A meaningful co‑op term with innovative technology, team bonding events, mentorship, and growth opportunities.
