The City is located on the Treaty 20 Michi Saagiig Anishinaabeg territory and in the traditional territory of the Michi Saagiig and Chippewa Nations, known collectively as the Williams Treaty First Nations.Under the direction of the Program Manager, Waste Diversion the Waste Diversion Summer Student will assist with the execution of initiatives required to support departmental programs that focus on the reduction and diversion of solid waste and organic material from disposal in the City of Peterborough’s landfill. Providing assistance to Waste Diversion Section personnel in public education and promotion to City residents and businesses pertaining to proper recycling sortation.
