Job Title Credit Risk Manager Company Canada Infrastructure Bank/ Banque de l'infrastructure du Canada Location Scarborough, Ontario, Canada Job Overview The Canada Infrastructure Bank (CIB) invests in new infrastructure projects. The Credit Risk Manager reports to the Director, Credit Risk and focuses on infrastructure credit risk assessment, including revenue risk and availability‑based financing models, throughout the underwriting process and post‑transaction analysis. Responsibilities Perform and/or review credit risk analysis on individual investments across all of CIB’s priority sectors. Review transaction financial models and extract relevant information for internal risk analysis and reporting. Use risk rating tools to evaluate financial statements, apply applicable methodology, and recommend credit risk ratings. Perform independent scenario and sensitivity analysis, including PPP and revenue‑risk infrastructure transactions. Conduct counterparty risk assessment for project finance & PPP revenue structures or corporate structures and perform regular post‑closing monitoring. Review internal and external transaction documentation such as information memoranda, contracts, financial models, and other project finance documents. Support Directors and Senior Managers in ongoing risk monitoring of the portfolio, including reviewing annual reviews, preparing internal risk rating refreshes, and performing credit monitoring and control activities. Report credit‑related metrics and performance to the Head, Risk on a regular basis, noting market or sector developments that impact the portfolio. Maintain knowledge of global revenue infrastructure financing models and industry developments, including policy financing products. Ideal Profile Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or equivalent; CFA, MBA highly desirable. Minimum 4+ years of credit analysis experience, ideally at a bank, regulated institution or MDB/IFIs. Experience with infrastructure asset class, PPPs, project finance, preferably in one of CIB’s priority sectors. Expertise in lending, investments and risk assessment best market practices. Experience in credit risk rating methodologies for infrastructure and project finance. Experience in infrastructure financing under revenue risk and availability‑based models. Strong analytical skills and ability to summarize complex structures and related risks concisely. Strong modeling skills and proficiency with Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint and industry software. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience with finance and risk models and related industry software. Experience with policy‑related mandates would be a strong asset. Excellent organizational and personal communication skills. Familiarity with quantitative analysis and financial modeling to support business/investment decisions.
