Overviewn biomachines, based in Burlington, is focused on the development and production of bioreactors and advanced machinery for cellular agriculture and precision fermentation. Our integrated Research and Development center within the same facility is an Ontario hub for innovation in bioprocess design and optimization, plant-based engineering, food technology and scaled alternative protein production.ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate CNC Mill & CNC Lathe (DN Solutions Doosan Puma 2600 SY II)Create CNC programs with MasterCam, and edit as requiredUnderstand and interpret engineered drawings and sketchesReceive and understand verbal and written instructions in EnglishOperate other equipment as required (includes conventional)Use various monitoring and measuring devices and instrumentationMaintain good housekeeping and organizational skillsWork well with othersQualificationsMinimum 5 years of practical hands-on machining experienceExperience using DN Solutions Doosan Puma 2600 SY II – Lathe requiredProficiency in CNC programming languagesSolid mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using various machining tools and equipmentProficiency with MasterCam is requiredStrong blueprint reading skills with the ability to interpret complex technical documentsBasic math skills for calculations related to measurements and tolerancesExperience with lean manufacturing principles is a plusAbility to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environmentGood communication skills, work ethic, and a positive attitudeMust have experience with tight tolerancesAbility to lift up to 50 lbs from time to timePrevious experience operating forklifts is beneficial but not mandatoryAvailable to work shifts as neededWhat We OfferCompetitive salary, benefits and RRSP programA dynamic role with opportunities to support cutting-edge biotechnological solutionsJoin a team that encourages creativity and innovationAll applicants must be eligible to work in Canada without the need for company sponsored work permit or immigration assistanceEqual OpportunityAt n biomachines, we don’t just accept difference — we celebrate it, we support it, and we thrive on it for the benefit of our employees, our products, and our community. n biomachines is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and we are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.If you have any accommodation requirements, please let us know.
