HVC produces both copper and molybdenum concentrate through autogenous and semi-autogenous grinding and flotation.Located approximately 17 kilometers west of Logan Lake and about 50 kilometers southwest of Kamloops in British Columbia, the surrounding areas of HVC have an abundant offering of outdoor experiences. Reporting to the Mill Maintenance Supervisor, Millwrights are tasked with the repair and maintenance of on-site structures and equipment. Key Responsibilities Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures Preventative maintenance, machinery installation and machine repair Read and interpret blueprints, manuals or millwright process specifications Operate hoisting and lifting equipment Troubleshoot production problems and take preventative or corrective action Maintain a clean, orderly and safe work environment Qualifications Must possess an Interprovincial Journeyperson Millwright red seal trade qualification Industrial experience is an asset Strong interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Must be willing to work shift work High School Diploma or equivalent Valid driver’s license Pay Range: CAD $56.61 per hour The actual amount offered is determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity. Working Conditions: Location: Highland Valley Copper is a 50-minute drive from Kamloops, which has all of the comforts of city living and is also close to Merritt, Ashcroft, and Logan Lake, which all exude a small town community atmosphere. Access: This is a drive-in/drive-out role. Most employees commute to site by car, and carpooling is common among team members.
