We offer competitive wages with a full benefits plan, as well as optional RSP plans.The OpportunityWe are currently looking to hire a Journeyperson Millwright for our manufacturing facilities in Slave Lake, Alberta. Job duties include:Changing saws and knives, lubricating mill floor equipment, and replacing tool tips on de-barkersCalibrating trim saws and checking for lugs out of line, cracked saws, warped or broken beltsReceiving equipment status reports from operators, identifying any problems and repairs as required to operateWorking Conditions:Exposed to noise, dust, falling debris, moving machinery, weather extremes, splinters, slipping and tripping hazardsLifting heavy, awkward objects and climbing on equipment is frequently requiredRequired use of PPE appropriate for the task and working conditionsMust have:A solid work ethic, be eager to learn, and be a team playerJourneyperson Industrial Mechanic certificationA minimum of 3-5 years of industrial experience, preferably working in a sawmillProficient written and verbal communication skillsThe ability to work at different heightsAvailable Shift Schedules:7 days on and 7 days off (mix of days and nights); camp rooms are available for non-local candidatesThursday - Sunday, 6am - 6pmMonday - Thursday, 6 - 6 (two weeks of days, followed by two weeks of nights)Pay Rates:Level 1 Millwright -$48.50/hr Level 2 Millwright - $50.50/hrMillwrights are scheduled for 44 hours per week, with overtime hours availableIf this position sounds like a fit for you, please apply directly through the portal.We thank all candidates for their interest; only candidates selected to advance in our recruitment process will be contacted.
