P&C is seeking a detail oriented, focused, and energetic accountant in the Sudbury, Ontario office that will work closely with our North American Finance Manager to lead the day-to-day accounting activities in our Canadian practice. This is an in-office role with an approximate start-date of June 1, 2025.Key Responsibilities:Perform day-to-day accounting tasks including reconciling the general ledger accounts, maintaining prepaids and capital asset schedules, review accounts payable/receivable subledgers, and complete bank reconciliationsMaintain monthly working papers and record monthly journal entriesGenerate draft invoices for issue to project managers and work collaboratively with project managers to process and send invoices to clientsReview and posting of customer invoices and employee expensesSupport cash management, including recording payments and cash receiptsSupport month-end close and assist in the preparation of monthly financial statementsSupport year-end close, tax information preparation, and annual auditAssist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysisMaintain accurate financial records and documentationProvide insights and recommendations for improving financial performanceAssist with other accounting related duties as requiredQualifications, Experience, and Skills:Candidates must be legally eligible to work in CanadaKnowledge of Canadian accounting standardsMinimum 2-4 years of relevant accounting experience. Experience at a consulting engineering firm is considered an assetProficiency with accounting software and MS Excel. Experience with Deltek VantagePoint is considered an assetExcellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracyClear and concise verbal and written communication skillsStrong time management abilities, with the ability to prioritize tasks and effectively meet deadlinesEstablished ability to work independently and solve problemsAbility to maintain confidentiality and exhibit a high degree of ethical standardsWhat We OfferThis is a full-time, permanent position (80 hours averaged over 9 days) at our Sudbury office.
