Your mission will be to: Objective: The incumbent is responsible for purchasing, documenting, packaging, and shipping food products purchased from various retail outlets. This position may require the incumbent to sample from multiple retail outlets across multiple cities. Purchase food products from retail outlets from a supplied weekly shopping list. Complete appropriate documentation and submit accordingly with photos taken of the food products within the scheduled time frame. Store purchased items in an appropriate manner until shipment. Ensure food product integrity is maintained (i.e., store at appropriate temperature, not opened or damaged in any way). Prepare food products to be shipped to testing facilities as instructed, while maintaining sample integrity. Responsible for identifying any problems and escalating to the direct Supervisor. Must have access to 1) phone or camera that can deliver photo resolution of 1600 x 1200 pixels at a minimum, 2) computer and printer and 3) internet. The incumbent must exhibit safe driving skills and maintain an acceptable driving record. Ensure departmental Standard Operating Procedures are followed at all times, which will be provided. Adhere to all safety policies. Perform other related duties as needed. YOUR PROFILE Profile: The incumbent must have routine access to a motor vehicle and exhibit safe driving skills. Time management skills are required to ensure that sampling timelines are met. The incumbent must have the skill to maintain the integrity of the purchased items. High school diploma or GED or equivalent relevant work experience. Required skills: The incumbent performs routine tasks that follow established shopping procedures (will be provided). Integrity of purchased items must be maintained to avoid inaccurate results. Shopping locations may change with little notice. The incumbent uses knowledge of the geographic area and the advice of the supervisor to solve problems. The incumbent must provide accurate and detailed information on the samples collected including but not limited to product and shipment information. This position requires basic computer skills (i.e., data entry into spreadsheets, email, etc.). Management None Work Environment The incumbent uses a personal vehicle for this job and is subject to the environmental conditions while driving to each location. Must have access to 1) phone or camera that can deliver photo resolution of 1600 x 1200 pixels at a minimum, 2) computer and printer and 3) internet. Lifting of up to 50-pound sample loads is required for shopping.
