Position: Adult Psychiatrist – Health Match BC Health Match BC is seeking an adult psychiatrist to join a collaborative mental health team in Williams Lake, BC, focusing on innovative, integrated care models across the lifespan. Key responsibilities include: Collaborate with community general practitioners, a child psychiatrist, and a multidisciplinary team (social workers, therapists, outreach nurses) to provide adult psychiatric care. Provide urgent support in Cariboo Memorial Hospital ER and the Gateway Crisis Stabilization Unit, offering assessment and short‑term intervention for crisis response. Deliver tele‑psychiatry support from the Kamloops office to remote locations. Engage in quality improvement projects, program development, and community education activities. Provide services in remote Aboriginal communities, either in‑person or via telehealth. Participate in UBC teaching opportunities through the UBC Department of Psychiatry. Consider Leadership Development opportunities through Interior Health’s NAVIG8 Emerging Physician Leaders Program. Benefits and incentives: Retention Premium 12.32% Retention Flat Fee $19,092 Relocation Funding Available $9,000–$15,000 (based on move location) Recruitment Incentive $15,000 RCME support up to $6,600 after 4 years Eligibility for Rural Subsidiary Agreement (RSA) remuneration Potential for loan forgiveness under BC or Canada programs. Compensation is a combination, estimated remuneration TBD, primarily fee for service. Location: Williams Lake, British Columbia – a vibrant rural community with access to outdoor recreation and a growing health facility, including the planned addition of a 25‑bed inpatient psychiatry unit opening in 2026.
