Sales Development Representative (SDR) – Blue J About Blue J Blue J is the leading generative AI solution for tax professionals. As a B2B SaaS company, our customers are accountants and tax experts who rely on our market‑leading software to deliver fast, accurate, and defensible answers to complex tax questions. With a recent $122M USD Series D funding, we’re expanding rapidly and looking for an SDR to fuel our next stage of growth. The Opportunity You will be the first human interaction many prospects have with Blue J, converting inbound leads into high‑quality, insight‑driven opportunities. Your primary focus is owning inbound sales leads across all segments and supporting opportunities from partnerships, marketing, and other GTM channels. Responsibilities Own inbound leads from first touch to qualified opportunity, ensuring fast, thoughtful responses. Run structured, discovery calls to understand prospects’ pain points and decision context. Prioritize leads based on intent, fit, and timing; adapt approach to signal quality. Execute short, high‑intent omni‑channel follow‑up (email, phone, LinkedIn, video). Light multi‑threading to validate decision makers or expand context. Communicate clearly and consistently with AEs, providing crisp notes and key insights. Maintain exceptional CRM hygiene, capturing conversations, buying signals, and motivation. Identify patterns in inbound funnels and share insights with Sales Leadership and Marketing. Meet and exceed monthly inbound pipeline targets, owning performance and daily discipline. Qualifications Strong curiosity, discipline, commercial thinking, and confidence in communicating value. Ability to engage inbound leads quickly and run structured discovery. Experience using CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and managing sales pipeline. Good written and verbal communication skills in English. Preferred: experience in B2B SaaS sales or a related technology field. Hybrid, Toronto‑based (3 days on‑site per week) with occasional travel. Eligible to work in Canada.
