Responsibilities Underwrite basic to moderately complex commercial property and casualty insurance contracts, covering, pricing, production, and delivery, risk management, and local brokerage plan management. Evaluate risks and make underwriting decisions based on company guidelines, risk appetite, and pricing strategies. Develop and maintain relationships with brokers and clients, providing exceptional customer service and offering high-value solutions. Collaborate with other underwriters, brokers, and internal teams to foster profitable growth and achieve assigned monthly sales goals. Analyze data and trends to identify new business opportunities and develop marketing strategies to attract new business. Manage the submission, quoting, and commitment processes for new and renewal business, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and timeliness. Negotiate policy terms and conditions with brokers and clients, ensuring compliance with underwriting guidelines and regulatory requirements. Qualifications Significant experience in commercial property underwriting. Bilingualism (French and English) with excellent communication skills, essential for interacting with clients and partners across Canada. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field, or a combination of relevant education and experience. Experience with a CRM and policy management systems. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build partnerships with brokers and clients.
