This combination makes Dyno Nobel a terrific place to work.What You’ll DoAs the Underground Operator, you will safely operate and maintain loading and delivery equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures, and in a manner that protects company assets and ensures their dependability. You will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing equipment when not in proper working condition.Work independently, traveling between the loading sites and the plant(overtime and overnightruns along with weekend work will be required)Contribute to the establishment of strong positive relations between the Company and the Site’s prime client.Respond readily and in a manner that reinforces the reputation of the Company as a supplier with the highest standards of product quality and customer servicePossess a good general knowledge of handling, storing and using explosives on surface (NRC regulations).Have a full understanding of documentation required for completing all job tasks related to pumping emulsion explosivesAccurately and fully complete all required documentation and reports within time requirementsEnsure compliance with applicable Company HSE Performance Standards, as well as applicable acts and regulations.Guarantee that a safe working environment is maintained in compliance with all of Dyno Nobel’s safety rules and regulations.What We’re Looking For :Grade 12 Diploma or the equivalentNORCAT Underground Common Core CertificateUnderground experience an assetClass 5 Driver License requiredMechanical knowledge and / or background is helpful.Ability to trouble-shoot problems with underground equipment hydraulic and electrical equipment is an asset.Ability to work in an underground environment for hours at a time.Ability to stay at the site overnight during scheduled shifts -This isnota fly in / fly out positionPositive attitude, friendly demeanor, and a team playerWhat We Offer :Paid vacation time + paid holidaysHealth Care + Life insurance + AD&DRRSP + RPP (after 1 year of continuous employment)Employee Assistance ProgramFriendly and supportive coworkersZero Harm for Everyone EverywhereValue People – Respect, Recognize & RewardThink Customer.
