Verafin – Services Technical Sales Specialist Nasdaq, St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada As a Services Technical Sales Specialist reporting to the Senior Director of Services Sales, you’ll play a critical role in leading customers through the entire Services sales process with finesse and flair. You’ll craft winning strategies, dive into technical discovery, and deliver impactful solutions. Collaborate with various internal teams, engage in discovery calls, and conduct thorough due diligence, ensuring our value shines through every interaction. Your ability to understand clients’ unique needs and map them to our innovative solutions will be key. What You’ll Do Guide the Customer Journey: Lead existing customers through every stage of the buying process — from qualification and discovery to scoping, due diligence, and contract negotiation. Deliver Strategic Solutions: Identify pain points and risks within financial institutions, engaging multiple stakeholders and aligning solutions to their position in the buying journey. Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with Technical Services and other internal teams to design tailored solutions, prepare Statements of Work (SOW), and ensure a seamless customer experience. Communicate with Clarity: Present integration and technical requirements in a simplified, customer-friendly manner while staying informed on industry trends and Verafin’s unique value proposition. Grow and Innovate: Contribute ideas to enhance offerings, participate in training and development, and collaborate across departments to drive continuous improvement. What You’ll Bring Technical Communication: Ability to grasp complex technical concepts and clearly communicate them to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Consultative Sales Approach: Strategic thinking with experience navigating complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders. Discovery & Scoping Expertise: Skilled in conducting discovery and scoping calls to uncover core issues and define project needs. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Proven success working with teams across development, product, legal, and sales to drive outcomes. Customer Engagement: Ability to build rapport and connect with individuals at all levels of a customer’s organization, from executives to end-users. Nice-to-Have Project & Pricing Insight: Experience in project management practices and determining pricing for complex, scoped projects. SOW Preparation: Familiarity with preparing Statements of Work (SOWs), including understanding of responsibilities, risks, and limitations. Background in Technical Sales or Implementation: Prior experience in roles such as technical sales, business analyst, or implementation specialist. This position will be located in St. John’s or Toronto, and offers the opportunity for a hybrid work environment at least 3 days a week in-office, subject to change, providing flexibility and accessibility for qualified candidates.
