About the Role As a Web Application Developer at Bison & Bird, you’ll work closely with a product designer and project manager to build and launch modern, user‑centric web applications. You’ll own features end‑to‑end — from architecture to deployment — while ensuring your work is transparent and trackable. This role is ideal for someone who loves bringing ideas to life, takes pride in well‑structured code, and consistently sees projects through to delivery. Your Responsibilities Ship high‑quality, production‑ready applications — Your work directly ties to our Project Bonus Policy. Projects that stay on schedule, on budget, and earn strong client satisfaction unlock bonuses, but this only works when delivery is consistent and trackable. Communicate progress through daily time tracking — We require all employees to log their work daily. This isn’t about micromanagement — it’s about integrity, collaboration, and ensuring client billing and project forecasting stay accurate. What You Bring Required Proven experience shipping real products — with links to live apps, repos, deployments, or case studies. Strong front‑end experience with at least one modern framework (React, Vue, Next.js, etc.) Back‑end experience with Node.js, Laravel, Rails, Django, or equivalent Ability to take features from idea → implementation → deployment Strong communication and documentation habits Ability to work full‑time on‑site within company‑defined hours (see below) Nice to Have Experience collaborating with designers (Figma, design systems, UI patterns) Familiarity with DevOps tools, pipelines, or cloud services Previous work in a small team or agency environment Ability to critique and contribute to product decisions Your Working Conditions at Bison & Bird Work Schedule & Flex Work Following the Work Schedule & Flex Work Policy, you choose one consistent weekly schedule (8–4, 8:30–4:30, or 9–5). Our office is your home base — but you may use up to 3 Flex Days per month to work remotely (booked a month in advance). In summer, the office closes at 1:00 PM on Fridays (June–August). This is a privilege rooted in collective performance and respect for deliverables. Sick Leave Policy Full‑time employees receive 3 paid sick days per year, no questions asked.
