As a Payroll Specialist, you will serve as a key subject matter expert supporting payroll operations for all Canadian‑based employees. You will ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across all payroll processes while handling complex queries and escalations. Your responsibilities include leading end‑to‑end payroll processing, managing case‑management activities, overseeing gross‑to‑net calculations, audits, and balancing, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues. You will prepare deductions, remittances, and statutory filings; support year‑end activities such as T4s and reconciliations; compile provincial reports; analyze bi‑weekly payroll and GL data; manage Quebec specific requirements; mentor junior team members; and support process enhancements. About the team The Payroll Specialist is an integral member of our team responsible for the end‑to‑end processing and administration of Deloitte Canada’s national payroll. The successful candidate will play a senior role in ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of payroll and related client services, including advanced data analysis, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives. This position provides payroll expertise and support to all employees and business lines. Holds the Canadian Payroll Association Certification (PCP or CPM) or is actively working towards completion. Total Rewards The salary range for this position is $58,000 – $96,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
