Job OverviewWe are seeking a Principal Cost Controller to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the dissemination, explanation, and monitoring of good compliance with the Consortium’s Management Methods.The key responsibilities of this role include:Maintaining constant liaison with the Works, Procurement, and Accounting teams to ensure that expenses are properly allocated and thus ensure consistent management;Preparing the budget summary for its scope and ensuring consistency of budgetary data and assumptions;Ensuring the reliability of operating results by analyzing amounts to be spent, quantities implemented, key ratios, and their evolution;Ensuring the proper management of the entity by analyzing the monthly financial report, general expenses, and possible social and environmental risks;Responding to requests for analyses and summaries from the Project Management in the field of management control;Participating in the management of skills of all teams and leading training on essential points of management and use of information systems;Working with project managers to establish and enter budgets into the system.To be successful in this role, you should have:10+ years of experience;Construction experience (an asset);Autonomy;Ability to anticipate and plan priority tasks;Good listening skills and a spirit of synthesis.We offer a competitive compensation package, including:RRSP with up to 5% employer matching;Hybrid work model for corporate roles;Employee stock ownership program;Career growth through real development opportunities;Transit pass reimbursement;Minimum 4 weeks of vacation from day one.Pomerleau is a national leader in construction, delivering major projects across Canada.
