Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain cost control systems to monitor budget performance across engineering, procurement and construction workstreams.
- Collaborate with project teams to establish and manage cost baselines, forecasts and change management processes.
- Support project estimates, cost risk analysis, cash flow modelling and financial reporting.
- Track actual vs. budgeted costs, identify variances and proactively recommend corrective actions.
- Coordinate with procurement and contract administration to track committed costs and invoice progress.
- Produce periodic cost reports tailored to client and project needs, including earned value management when applicable.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of cost engineering and control practices at BBA.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, finance or a related field.
- More than five years of relevant experience in cost control on EPCM or capital projects.
- Solid knowledge of project control principles, project life cycles and industry best practices.
- Proficiency in cost‑control software and tools (e.g., Excel, Prism, EcoSys, SAP or similar).
- Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills.
- Advanced level of English to collaborate effectively with BBA offices and/or clients in English‑speaking Canadian provinces and internationally. The frequency of English use may range from occasional to daily, depending on ongoing projects.
- Advanced level of French to collaborate effectively with BBA offices and/or clients in Québec.
- Asset: experience carrying out these functions on projects in the mining, energy or heavy industry sectors.
- Asset: experience carrying out these functions on international projects.
