The Senior Project Coordinator - Piping will support the execution of specific parts of the project, including areas such as the Turbine Hall, Cooling Water Systems, and related auxiliary buildings and systems. This role focuses on helping the team meet key goals for safety, quality, schedule, and cost. Responsibilities include assisting with: Developing and updating schedules Managing scope changes Tracking budgets Coordinating resources and work groups across construction, safety, engineering, training, procurement, tooling, contracts, project controls, and client stakeholders This position offers the chance to work with a stable company that has a strong track record of success. Location The position will be based on our project in Darlington, ON. The successful candidate will be local to Darlington, Oshawa or surrounding areas, or willing to relocate. Responsibilities Assist in the development and maintenance of Comprehensive Work Package in cooperation with construction and engineering. Provides status report of project milestones and adjustment to schedules. Coordinates preparation and delivery of project deliverables, design documents, as built drawings, turnover documents, etc. Provide assurance that construction activities are performed in accordance with written and approved policy, standards, programs and applicable procedures. Provide and ensure effectiveness of the liaison function between field trades and design engineers for problem resolution and information flow. Forecast and tracks change orders and scope changes. Coordinates all site procurement activities including validation of material specifications, preparation of purchase requisitions, materials material tracking and ensuring traceability of materials when installed in the field. Establish and maintain interfaces with other internal groups, subcontractors and suppliers supporting the project. Develop and write detailed work plans in cooperation with construction leads. Maintain high standards related to final product quality. Plan and coordinate the Construction and Commissioning Completion Declaration reviews in collaboration with Construction, Commissioning and Operation entities. Identify and analyze punch items and follow-up the progress of their completion. Chair Construction Completion Declaration review Prepare acceptance forms and reports and ensure sign-off obtained before carrying on the transfer of responsibility. Identify appropriate engineering standards and practices to be used for the transfer of system during different phases of the project. Maintain departmental costs within budget. Perform regular field tours to check work progress and meet with project site personnel. Carry out site safety inspections. Participate in company-wide initiatives aimed at overall continuous improvement. Qualifications Post-secondary university or college technical degree and/or equivalent work experience Minimum 5 years Project Management experience in a related role with piping experience Must have the ability to handle all matters in a confidential and professional manner. Excellent organizational, communication and customer relationship skills. Great team coordination and ‘work together’ mind set. Extensive knowledge of project execution, financial operations, estimating, and employee relations required. Requires proficient business development skills and an operations background. Due to the nature of work conducted, mandated nuclear export controls requirements must be met for employment.1 Other Requirements Regular, reliable attendance Work productively and meet deadlines timely Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment Perform work safely and effectively.
