Cognizant is seeking a Senior Postgre SQL DBA for a full-time opportunity in Toronto, ON. Cognizant’s CIS (Cognizant Infrastructure Services) Practice is a global leader in providing IT infrastructure services. We deliver innovative solutions to optimize and transform IT infrastructure, ensuring business agility and operational efficiency. Our services include cloud computing, data center management, network services, and cybersecurity. We focus on understanding client needs and delivering customized solutions to drive business success. In this role, you will: Lead administration, optimization, and troubleshooting of PostgreSQL databases at an expert level, ensuring high availability and performance. Manage and maintain MongoDB and MySQL environments, including backup, recovery, and security configurations. Oversee cloud database operations on GCP and AWS, ensuring compliance, scalability, and cost optimization. Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using Jenkins and Ansible for automated deployments and configuration management. Provide technical leadership, mentor junior DBAs, and drive best practices for database governance and operational excellence. What you will need to succeed (required skills): 10 years of experience with Postgre SQL Administration. 6 years of experience with Mongo DB Administration. 2 years of experience with MYSQL Administration.
