Control Room Operator

We are currently accepting applications from CONTROL ROOM OPERATORS for a FIFO (fly-in/fly-out) mining project.
REQUIREMENTS- Three + years of mining experience preferred
- Strong safety background
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the mining operations, equipment and environment
- Knowledge of mine health and safety/regulations
- Strong skill set in electronics, computer, communication, troubleshooting, and decision-making
- Ability to work under pressure and stress in time-critical situations
Performs a range of tasks from the control room of a mine, which is a central location where all the data and information about the mine are collected, processed, and displayed.
- Monitor the processes and activities of the mine through electronic representations shown on monitors
- Makes changes to variables, and communicates with plant operators on the floor to make sure the processes keep running smoothly and according to established procedures
- Takes appropriate actions in case of irregularities or emergencies
- Reports any issues to the operations supervisor/superintendent
- Passion and enthusiasm to continually improve - safety, production, and quality
Start date: May 15th
$45-55/hr - commensurate w/ experience (all-inclusive rate)
Duration: 6 months with potential for extension
12 hr shifts
Rotation schedule 14 days on/14 off
Charter Flights, accommodations and meals provided on-site
Airport pick-up and transportation to/from camp provided
