CONTROL ROOM OPERATOR

We are currently accepting applications from CONTROL ROOM OPERATORS for a FIFO (fly-in/fly-out) mining project.

REQUIREMENTS
  1. Three + years of mining experience preferred
  2. Strong safety background
  3. Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the mining operations, equipment and environment
  4. Knowledge of mine health and safety/regulations
  5. Strong skill set in electronics, computer, communication, troubleshooting, and decision-making
  6. Ability to work under pressure and stress in time-critical situations
RESPONSIBILITIES

Performs a range of tasks from the control room of a mine, which is a central location where all the data and information about the mine are collected, processed, and displayed.

  1. Monitor the processes and activities of the mine through electronic representations shown on monitors
  2. Makes changes to variables, and communicates with plant operators on the floor to make sure the processes keep running smoothly and according to established procedures
  3. Takes appropriate actions in case of irregularities or emergencies
  4. Reports any issues to the operations supervisor/superintendent
  5. Passion and enthusiasm to continually improve - safety, production, and quality
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

Start date: May 15th
$45-55/hr - commensurate w/ experience (all-inclusive rate)
Duration: 6 months with potential for extension
12 hr shifts
Rotation schedule 14 days on/14 off
Charter Flights, accommodations and meals provided on-site
Airport pick-up and transportation to/from camp provided
