OverviewLead Power Systems Engineer position for ECG Engineering - Toronto, with ECG Engineering Pty Ltd. ECG Engineering is a leader in Electrical Engineering, delivering design and project delivery services to Mining, Utilities, Materials Handling and Industrial sectors with extensive capabilities in Australia and globally. The Toronto-based role contributes to a growing power systems team, with occasional coordination with our Australian, African, and Perth offices. Preference is for the successful applicant to reside in Toronto.The role focuses on power systems design and studies for mineral processing related Electrical Projects, including detailed design, technical reports, and studies on remote mining plant power systems with a strong emphasis on renewable energy.ECG Engineering offers a generous remuneration package and a collaborative workplace culture.ResponsibilitiesUndertake power system analysis for clientsDesign power systems for the mining and power generation industriesPreparation and evaluation of tendersUse power systems modelling packages such as DigSilent (PowerFactory) and ETAPQualificationsAnalysis and design of HV power systems including design of powerlines and substationsSpecialized network analysis and performance standard studies experienceSolid electrical engineering experience that includes knowledge of electrical, instrumentation and controls applicationsExperience working on both greenfield and brownfield projectsDegree level electrical engineering qualifications, with specialized power engineering qualifications well regardedAbility to self-manage while working in a variety of team / project delivery scenariosAbility to travel with project requirementsRole DetailsSeniority level: Mid-Senior levelEmployment type: Full-timeJob function: Engineering and Information TechnologyIndustries: MiningNote: The role is based in Toronto, with potential input on studies and reports for ECG offices in Australia and Africa, and coordination with the engineering office in Perth, WA. #J-18808-Ljbffr
