In this role you will work alongside senior developers and engineers to design, develop, test, and deploy cutting‑edge cloud‑based software products that serve the energy industry. You will contribute to a growing portfolio of products that help shape the future of power systems. Overview Your work will support the development of large‑scale, cloud‑native software for the energy sector, leveraging the latest technologies and best practices to deliver reliable, scalable, and secure solutions. Responsibilities Collaborate with the software team to design, develop, test, and deploy cloud‑based software solutions for the energy sector. Assist in maintaining and enhancing existing applications, ensuring scalability, performance, and security. Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, coding, testing, and deployment. Work with cutting‑edge technologies such as Python, React, TypeScript, Java, Kotlin, Docker, and Kubernetes. Contribute to code reviews, bug fixes, and performance tuning to ensure high‑quality deliverables. Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams including engineering, data science, and business to ensure seamless integration and delivery of products. Continuously learn new technologies and approaches to software development. Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or a similar technical field. Minimum 5+ years of experience developing software or SaaS products. Proficiency in Python and TypeScript. Familiarity with cloud computing platforms and containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git). Strong understanding of software development principles, algorithms, and data structures. Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Experience mentoring and supporting junior developers. Capability to dive into new codebases, generate data‑driven decisions for refactoring, and contribute code. Experience handling large data sets and implementing data processing pipelines and ETL principles. Knowledge of AWS Athena, Parquet files, and SQL relational database concepts. Preferred Education And Experience Knowledge of cloud‑based solutions, specifically AWS. Familiarity with ArcGIS and geospatial data. Exposure to analytics or engineering software in the energy sector is a plus.
